At the level of stardom Jamie Lee Curtis has reached, it’s clear she no longer worries about others’ opinions on her style. After decades in the entertainment industry, she’s built a devoted fan base that follows her every move.
This might explain the buzz when the 65-year-old actress debuted a new, longer hairstyle earlier this summer, swapping her signature gray pixie cut. Curtis was photographed on the set of Freakier Friday, the sequel to the 2000s film she starred in with Lindsay Lohan. During a break in filming, Curtis showed off her new look—longer gray locks—a big departure from her usual pixie style.
Set to release in 2025, Freakier Friday will bring Curtis back as Tess Coleman. Reflecting on the film’s long-awaited sequel, she shared last year, “When I was traveling with Halloween Ends, fans wanted to know about another Freaky Friday movie. So, I called Disney and said, ‘It feels like there’s a movie to be made.’” Though the plot isn’t confirmed, fans can expect plenty of laughs.
Curtis has always experimented with her hair, admitting she’s tried everything but prefers the short cut that best represents her. Fans had mixed reactions to her new look on set, with some preferring her classic pixie while others welcomed the change.
