Deputies searching for ‘possibly armed’ man after reported shooting in York County –


YORK COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities said they are searching for a man who may be armed and dangerous after a reported shooting Wednesday in York County.

Deputies said they called around 4:45 p.m. to reports of a shooting involving multiple people at a home on Marshall Road.

Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the area and could see two medical helicopters and an ambulance responding to the scene before deputies asked our chopper to stand down.

It’s unclear at this point if anyone was injured in the shooting.

Shortly after the shooting, the York County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that detectives are searching for a man wearing a black hoodie and camo pants who was last seen in the area. Officials said he is possibly armed and dangerous and residents should lock their doors and stay inside.

Deputies said they are using drones and K-9 officers to search for the suspect.

No additional details have been released.
